What does NovoGeek mean?
Here is the meaning: Novo + Geek
"Novo" is an adjective in Portuguese, meaning "Little, Fresh, Kid, modern, new, young etc",
"Geek" is a common English word which means "a person who is very passionate about computers and related activities".
So I am a kid in the world of IT, with 4.3 years of professional experience :)
I started this blog when I was a newbie to IT industry. Though I learnt a lot in 4 years, I still feel like a fresher and have the same enthusiasm which I had on the first day. Hence 'novogeek' will hold good as long as I'm in this industry.
About Me:
I am Krishna Chaitanya Telikicherla, a simple netizen, curious about
complex web technologies. Profesionally, I am a Technology Analyst in a reputed Research Lab at Hyderabad, currently focusing on security of modern web.
I am passionate about technology in general and web development in particular.
This is the place where I hang out, write & share geeky/interesting/useful technical stuff related to the web such as JavaScript, HTML5, modern web browsers, web security, social web etc.
For my contributions to developer community, Microsoft awarded me with Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (Microsoft MVP) award for the years 2010 (ASP.NET/jQuery) and 2011 (Internet Explorer) categories.
Love: Apart from technology, I love the game of Chess very much. I have played few district/zonal/state level tournaments and represented Andhra University in All India InterUniversity Chess Championship held at VIT, Vellore in 2005. In my leisure time, I solve tactical chess puzzles and follow the games of masters. I forget the world when I play Lightening Chess [5 mins per each player] :)
